Is there a status update for indexing images on Wikimedia Commons?

My interest in this is that I want to make it harder to use other people’s content for profit without giving proper credit or paying for it.

Flickr and Wikimedia Commons are two repositories for user generated content. Indexing these will help internet users to localize original work, identify where abuse of user content is taking place and notify the original creator.

We’ve had some problems in Sweden with Sveriges Radio, Sweden’s largest broadcaster of radio and owned by the state, abusing user generated content. If Flickr and Commons images were indexed it would be a lot easier to identify the origin of some of the images.

Toto: we have been busy indexing other type of content. We will look into this and check out their sitemaps. If the sitemaps look good for our indexing needs, we will add them to the indexing schedule. What’s your interest in this?

I am just wondering why TinEye does not in return index all those images at Wikimedia Commons. I earlier tried one of my photos I uploaded there years ago, and found another website using it without giving credit, but not the actual source they grabbed it, i.e. Commons.
